Etisalat divisions gets recertified in ISO 9001:2000

Emirates Telecommunications Corporation- Etisalat- has announced the ISO 9001:2000 recertification of four departments under the Etisalat Abu Dhabi region office. A celebration event was held at the Region office to recognize the participating employees and their efforts in providing quality services to their customers. The certification has been renewed for three years.

 

The four departments that have been recertified are Sales and Business Development, Government and Corporate Segment, Human Resources and e-access. The celebration was attended by employees of all these divisions, as well as senior officials including the General Manager of Etisalat Abu Dhabi region, Mr. Mohammed Al Qamzi.

 

Speaking at the event, Mr. Al Qamzi said: “This achievement shows Etisalat’s commitment to encouraging employees to work hard to provide quality services to their customers, and meet their needs efficiently. This initiative reflects Etisalat’s plan to keep the highest quality standards as the benchmark in all its units and business divisions, ensuring a focus on quality among all personnel and departments interacting with customers.”

 

 

 

The issuing or reissuing of ISO 9001:2000 concludes a process that covers many aspects of business activities, with a keen focus on customer satisfaction. A certified company can project the customers’ needs and future requirements efficiently, and able to provide it at the appropriate time after conducting studies and analyzing results. This would lead to sound decisions regarding important services and the company’s operations itself.

 

Some of the regional offices of Etisalat held their own celebratory events, attended by employees and senior officials. These include the East Coast region, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Ain. Obaid Khalfan, GM, East Coast region of Etisalat, honoured employees who participated in the certification processes for sales, business development and Business Centres, Government and corporate segment, HR and e-access.

 

Etisalat Ras Al Khaimah region organized an event to honour the divisions that were recertified ISO 9001:2000. These are subscriber services division, HR management, sales and business development, corporate service management and e-access. The event was attended by senior officials of Ras Al Khaimah region including Acting Manager, Hamid Sultan Al Suwaidi, department managers and employees. Souvenirs and certificates were given to participants as a token of appreciation for their role in the project. Al Suwaidi thanked all for their participation, and encouraged them to work closely together to bring the Corporation more accolades.

 

The Al Ain region offices of Etisalat also got together for a celebration of people who worked towards the ISO 9001:2000 certification, who were from engineering, HR, and sales and business development. Al Bin Jarash, Deputy General Manager of Al Ain region, Etisalat, attended the event and gave out certificates and gifts to 49 people.

 

Ali Bin Jarash said: “The contributions of these people as well as their enthusiasm and commitment during the project period have helped us in this achievement. Gaining such certificates instills a climate of quality and a commitment to the same throughout the Corporation.”

 

Ahmed Bin Ali, Corporate Communications Manager, Etisalat, said: “We are proud that the contributions of our employees have brought us such honour. The implementation of the certified processes and programmes across the Corporation will ensure the highest quality and international standards that will further promote Etisalat as the regional pioneer telecommunications service provider.”

These celebration events would motivate them and others to come to the forefront, and extend the ideals of quality and professionalism to their customer interactions also.
