Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates has announced that its cargo division, Etihad Crystal Cargo, will be participating in the Air Cargo Europe 2005 which will take place from May 31 – June 3 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. This will be the first public appearance of Etihad Crystal Cargo at this leading trade show in Europe since launching the Crystal Cargo brand at the TIACA Air Cargo Forum in September 2004 in Bilbao, Spain.

Commenting on Etihad Crystal Cargo’s participation in the Air Cargo Europe, Mr. Robert Strodel, Head of Etihad Crystal Cargo said, “This will be our debut in this leading trade show. The European air cargo market is of major importance for the growth of Etihad Crystal Cargo and this exhibition will provide us with great opportunities to demonstrate our recent developments and interact with customers and key industry decision makers. ”

The Air Cargo Europe is one of the leading exhibitions for air cargo and logistics in Europe. It is held in conjunction with the “transport logistic”, targeting freight forwarders, airline industry executives, airport authorities, shippers and logistics suppliers world-wide. Etihad Crystal Cargo has launched its all-cargo-services to Frankfurt at the beginning of February 2005, serving this European core destination three times a week with its Airbus A300-600RF. Etihad recently increased its frequency of flights to Germany with an introduction of three non-stop weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Munich. In addition, the airline will launch a non-stop weekly passenger flight to Frankfurt on June 1.

Etihad Crystal Cargo looks forward to participating in Air Cargo Europe 2005 and welcomes all visitors to their stand located at Exhibition Hall A4, Stand 317.

Etihad Airways, although a new arrival, now flies to 17 destinations in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.  The growing network now serves Amman, Bahrain, Bangkok, Beirut, Cairo, Colombo, Damascus, Dammam, Frankfurt, Geneva, Karachi, London (Heathrow), London (Gatwick), Mumbai, Munich, New Delhi and Riyadh.
The cargo division of Etihad Airways, Etihad Crystal Cargo, offers an expanding network of cargo destinations on scheduled and charter flights. Etihad Crystal Cargo's services are based on three fundamental promises - Ultimate Information Transparency, 21st Century Technology and Total Customer Focus. In addition to the 17 passenger destinations Etihad Crystal Cargo offers all-cargo-services to Frankfurt, Amman, Mumbai and Milano as well as charter services with its regional freighter fleet.
In addition to Etihad’s rapidly expanding international routes, the airline has also created Etihad Holidays in record time.  Launched in May 2004, Etihad Holidays offers an array of over 170 hotels in more than 35 exciting holiday destinations in 14 countries – from vibrant bustling cities and picturesque, romantic beach resorts to cultural breaks and world renowned hotels.
Etihad’s focus is on doing things differently – reinventing the way an airline works, with the emphasis very much on creating new standards in hospitality.  Etihad refers to passengers as ‘guests’ and has three ‘guest zones’ – Diamond, Pearl and Coral - rather than classes. Each zone provides a premium service, with quality and undivided attention emphasized.
