Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced an exciting range of new promotions ahead of its inaugural flight to New York later this month.
Any Guests travelling in the Pearl zone to the ‘City that Never Sleeps’ before 10 December 2006 will be able to purchase a second return ticket for a companion at a 50 percent discount. The innovative Guest offer is also open to children under the age of 12, who can now fly for free when travelling with an adult in Coral zone.
“We have received a huge amount of interest from Guests wanting to travel directly to New York and we are delighted to be able to offer this outstanding promotion to allow them to fly together in comfort and at very competitive prices,” said Geert W. Boven, Etihad’s Vice President Commercial.
“New York is our 35th international destination and is already proving immensely popular with Broadway-bound Guests and those looking to enjoy a holiday during the fall in North America.”
From October 26, Etihad will operate a daily flight on one of its purpose built Airbus A340-500’s between Abu Dhabi and New York’s JFK Airport. The aircraft is configured with two aisles carrying 240 Guests with 12 in Diamond, 28 in Pearl and 200 in Coral zone.
Along with Toronto in Canada, New York will become the second destination the Abu Dhabi-based airline flies to in North America.
As well as the promotions for children and Pearl zone Guests, members of our new loyalty programme, Etihad Guest, can earn to 150 percent bonus miles on the New York route when travelling in Diamond zone, 100 percent more bonus miles in Pearl zone and 50 percent more bonus miles in Coral zone.
Guests travelling in the Pearl zone will also experience Etihad’s award winning business bed which recently won the World Travel Award for the world’s leading flat-bed seat at the annual ceremony in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Etihad was also presented with the award for being the world’s leading new airline for the third consecutive year.
Flight EY 503 will leave Abu Dhabi International Airport every day at 14:15 arriving in New York at 21:25. The return flight EY 504 will depart at 23:10 arriving back in Abu Dhabi the next day at 20:25.
