The Ernst & Young Middle East Entrepreneur of the Year Award is currently accepting nominations from entrepreneurs in the region, the deadline for which is 27 October 2007. To enter the awards programme either download the application form from www.ey.com/me/eoy or contact your local Ernst & Young office for more information.
To be eligible to enter, entrepreneurs must be an owner/manager who is primarily responsible for the recent performance of a privately held business that is at least two years old or be a founder of a listed company who is still active in senior management or is still a 51% owner. Self-nominations are encouraged and there is no fee to enter.

This has been particularly evident for the past two decades in other regions through the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year programme and we see no reason why the Middle East business leaders shouldn’t benefit from the same recognition as the rest of the world’s entrepreneurs.’
The Entrepreneur of the Year awards recognizes individuals who put everything on the line in order to translate an idea into a viable, sustainable enterprise. Mr. Michael Hasbani, The Entrepreneur of the Year Coordinator in Dubai commented, ‘We have already received several applications forms from the UAE, and are looking forward to receiving more nominations from eligible businessmen, well ahead of the deadline date of 27 October’.
The programme will culminate in a gala dinner and awards ceremony scheduled to be held in Dubai on 23 February 2008.
