Epson has launched the EMP-S4, the latest addition to its ground breaking 3LCD video projector line-up in the Middle East, offering the region’s office and classroom users a versatile solution that provides improved brightness and greater performance at an affordable price.
Epson’s EMP-S4 projector offers sharp, clear images and outstanding brightness. It features 1800 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 500:1, an A/V mute slide and quick start up/shut down time. The projector also comes with the latest in 3LCD technology, ensuring smooth, natural images and excellent colour reproduction.
Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East said: “The Epson EMP-S4 is a projector solution tailored to the needs of the education market and mobile professionals, and is designed for ease of use, affordability and portability. The launch of this projector reflects Epson’s commitment to the SVGA [Super Video Graphics Array] segment and strengthens our leadership in this market.”
Epson’s EMP-S4 offers improved pixel resolution and the highest level of brightness by using Epson’s Twin Optimise Reflection Lamp (E-TORL) technology, featuring a high performance lens that gathers and projects light efficiently, eliminates light-leakage and minimises light diffraction. This allows the EMP-S4 to be used in the brightest of environments, without compromising image quality.
The EMP-S4 projector’s compact design and easy-to-use function keys make for easy handling. The projector has a quick start-up time of just four seconds and an Instant Off feature so no cool down time is needed. The video projector comes with its own carry bag and at a weight of just 2.6kg, can be moved effortlessly between meetings or classrooms.
The innovative A/V mute slide feature allows users to stop and resume projection mid-presentation. This, combined with a reduced fan noise of just 30db, prevents the audience from being distracted and allows the focus to remain where it should be – on the presenter. Furthermore, the A/V mute slide effectively protects the lens from scratches or damage during transportation and storage.
The Epson EMP-S4 is particularly suited for tight spaces, projecting a 60’” screen from as close as 1.7m, without compromising the image quality. With a vertical keystone correction of 30 degrees, a square image can be achieved from 34 inches. The EMP-S4 also deploys a single foot stand at the front of the unit for height adjustment, making it easy to set up.
A “Source Search” button allows the EMP-S4 to instantly recognise signals so it can project from a computer or a variety of devices at the touch of a button. The projector is also compatible with higher resolution computers (up to SXGA+), giving greater flexibility for use in even the highest definition applications.
“The regional education sector is seeing increased investments in cost-effective technological solutions that improve content delivery and aid the learning process. Similarly, mobility is becoming an important feature of corporate functioning and professional living. The EMP-S4 supports 11 European languages and is a versatile solution for both these segments of consumers,” El-Dalu concluded.
