ENOC supports Dubai government campaign against drug abuse

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) is supporting the "I'm Drug Free" campaign, organised by the General Department of Anti-Narcotics of Dubai Police and Arab Family Organization, to raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs present to society.The campaign coincides with the 'International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking', which falls on June 26 every year.

As part of its participation, members of ENOC/EPPCO service stations will distribute leaflets and brochures to educate and inform visitors about the dangers of drugs.

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC's Group Chief Executive, said: "Our sponsorship towards the campaign reflects the Group's determination to achieve a society that is free of drug abuse. As a national company, it's our role to support the Government of Dubai in its fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, by spreading awareness and educating society through our various channels."

The campaign includes a series of events such as sports workshops, awareness and educational activities and cultural programs held at Dubai Festival City Complex from June 24 to 26, 2010.

ENOC has always been at the forefront of support and awareness campaigns on health, safety and the environment.
