enhanced data protection launched for the middle east

OnLine Distribution Partners with Cibecs to Meet the Demand for Data Protection Software Solutions in the Middle East

Cibecs, a new provider of user data protection software, has launched a solution campaign to fill the gap in the region’s security systems.

The campaign is running in partnership with leading regional value-added distributor, Online Distribution.

With a high number of home-based and mobile professionals in the Middle East operating from their desktops, most data is not stored on servers, which often means that information is not protected by centralised back-up and archiving systems.

This potential “gap” in the security system is one that the combined campaign aims to address, by ensuring that data protection reaches through to the desktop level.

“We recognise that users do not always follow prescribed IT policies, particularly on their desktop, so we believe that the new solution can address a significant need within the regional market. Cibecs solutions address all those users who think backing up PCs and notebooks everyday is a time-consuming process, by providing a fast method to ensure security,” said Sushma Kajaria, Business Unit Manager - Security & VAD Services.

“Online Distribution’s partnership with Cibecs will meet the demand for data protection throughout the region by providing the easiest, most effective data backup, archive and recovery solutions for PCs and notebooks in enterprises,” added Kajaria.

Cibecs provides users with software solutions to ensure company data is not at risk and infrastructure such as bandwidth and storage is not wasted, minimizing time consuming processes and extra company costs.

The new Cibecs solution adds an important element to Online Distribution’s extensive security solutions portfolio, which includes Trend Micro, Proxim Wireless, Juniper Networks, Secure Computing (Ironmail), and Motorola Enterprise Mobility.

Commenting on the new partnership, Richard Dewing, Managing Director of Cibecs, said: “As the demand for data protection increases, Cibecs will work with our trusted distributors to help meet the need for our software solutions. Online Distribution has a strong position as one of the leading distributors in the Middle East region and we anticipate a highly successful partnership.”

Cibecs offers Middle East customers efficient and reliable date protection, through automated and centralized back-up and archival. Additionally, users can benefit from easy and quick recovery solutions and extensive centralized control and reporting on all backup and recovery activity, resulting in lower support costs and less time spent on performing backups.

The company enforces compliance through the automation of data protection through a
centrally configured policy and allows, for the first time, centralized management
through extensive management and reporting tools.
