Empost, the UAE's national courier company, has launched “Litedox”, an innovative courier service for the delivery of light documents to India as well as within the UAE. The door-to-door courier service is designed to cater primarily to the need for sending original documents, certificates, statements and letters to India, whose expatriate community is the largest in the UAE. The service will be expanded to other international and regional countries at a later stage.
A key feature of the Litedox service is its pricing mechanism, which ensures that customers need to pay only for the weight they send. A charge of AED 15 is levied on documents weighing up to 20 grams, while every additional 20 grams will cost the customer an extra AED 10.
Commenting on the service, Sultan Al Midfa, General Manager, Empost, said: "The Litedox service guarantees timely, safe and cost-effective delivery of light original documents. The service will particularly benefit the large Indian expatriate community in the UAE, who will now have access to a reliable, safe and speedy door-to-door courier service to get their certificates, letters and other original documents delivered anywhere in their home country."
"Empost is focused on making its customers' lives easier by introducing tailor-made services designed to meet specific market requirements. Litedox is the latest in a series of innovative services launched by Empost to cater to the diverse market segments in the UAE," Al Midfa added.
The Litedox service is available in all Empost stores and offices in the UAE. Empost has more than 65 retail stores conveniently located across the UAE, offering a comprehensive range of courier and postal services, including stationaries, stamps and gifts.
Empost has recently launched an array of unique services such as EmDirect, which provides a wide range of value-added and fully-integrated Direct Mail Marketing services to meet varied business communication needs, and Health Pack, an express courier service that ensures timely delivery of health cards, medical reports, fitness cards, birth certificates and other medical documents to customers.
