Empost, the UAE's national courier company, has launched a comprehensive training program, 'Delivering Excellence’ to enable its employees to upgrade their skills and enhance their efficiency, with the goal of raising standards of customer service.
The training program was recently launched and is being held in coordination with the Training and Development Centre of Emirates Post. The program will be spread over a period of 3 months, and all the activities will be managed and coordinated by the Personnel Section of Empost. The 570 Empost employees will be divided into 30 batches, and each group will receive two days of training.
Commenting on the program, Sultan Al Midfa, General Manager, Empost, said: "In today's rapidly evolving business environment, regular training programs for employees have become a critical factor for achieving excellence and meeting goals. Empost firmly believes in this approach. We have therefore created a customized training program that will boost the productivity levels of Empost staff as well as raise customer service standards."
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Juwaied, Deputy General Manager, Empost added:" The program is meant to increase job satisfaction and provide greater motivation for employees. We expect the training program to be a catalyst in enhancing overall competitiveness of the company, while contributing to the personal development of the employees."
''Delivering Excellence' will also help employees achieve improvement in different areas such as communication skills, interpersonal relationships and time management, among other things. Participants will be evaluated at the end of the training sessions, and 60 cash awards will be distributed to the two best participants from each batch, based on assessment by the Development and Training Center team," Al Midfa added.

We have adopted a competency-based training approach to make this a standard program for all Empost employees. Training and Development Centre seeks to align the performance and contribution of participants with the overall Empost strategy through carefully designed sessions and latest training techniques and edutainment methodology."
"'Delivering Excellence' will be followed by other training programs such as specialized induction ,Empost Orientation, Excel for Administration Staff, ICDL certification and team building. Additionally, we will soon develop and implement a Performance Management System," Ghanem added.
All Empost employees in the country will undergo the training, except those based in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, for whom the training will be carried out in Abu Dhabi in August.
