Emmanuel Macron set to meet King Abdullah II today

ALBAWABA - State media agency Petra announced that French president Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Amman, Jordan later on Tuesday and will be meeting with King Abdullah II on Wednesday. 

Upon his arrival at Marka Military Airport, the French President was received by the Mayor of Amman, Youssef Shawarba, the Governor of Amman, Yasser Al-Adwan, and the French Ambassador to Jordan, Alexis Le Cour Grandmaison, Petra reported. 

Following the Amman trip, President Macron is set to visit Cairo, Egypt, and is expected to meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. 

Macron kicked off his levant tour in Israel where he held a number of meetings with Israeli high-profile people, including President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and opposition leader Yair Lapid. 

Later on, he went to Ramallah to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Macron took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express the importance of his meeting with the Palestinian president.
