Emiratisation throughout it represents 82% in general

Dubai Customs announced its participation in “UAE Career Exhibition 2007” which will be organized in Dubai World Trade Center from 13 – 15 March 2007, a move aiming at creating an ideal platform for UAE nationals, who look forward to start their professional life, to meet and communicate with training officials and experts from the Human Resources Department at Dubai Customs.

Taking part in the 7th session of UAE Career Exhibition this year, Dubai Customs aim at enabling highly qualified UAE nationals to view a series of training and recruitment opportunities, communicate with Customs Executives and training expertise to discuss jobs and work opportunities and holding face to face sessions for examining career options with recruitment officials.

Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Director General of Dubai Customs said that, “Dubai Customs participation comes within the framework of implementing the recently launched customs strategic plan 2007-2011 and focusing on its third objective of providing best human and technological resources through recruiting highly qualified manpower”.

“Dubai Customs will effectively participate in the Career Exhibition which forms a ground for creating training and post-graduate studies opportunities, viewing job opportunities at Dubai Customs, acquiring markets information and providing adequate jobs for ambitious UAE nationals”, he added.

From his part, the Director of Human resources, Administrative Services and Facilities at Dubai Customs, Omar Al Hamli indicated that the Exhibition would constitute an ideal event to enhance emiratisation at Dubai Customs saying that emiratisation throughout Dubai Customs represents 82% in general and 90% in the senior management positions.

Al Hamli added that Dubai Customs recruited over the past year 218 UAE national employees in different customs sections, noting that focus over the next period would be on intense training to prepare new managers and conduct advanced training courses for inspectors who account for 40% of Dubai Customs total staff.

The Exhibition organizers announced that the area allotted for the 7th session of “UAE Career Exhibition” this year would increase by 90% providing additional options for UAE nationals to communicate with recruitment officials from the leading local and international companies.

The 6th session of UAE Career Exhibition last year was a great success and attracted 15500 visitors including national university students and job seekers.
