Emirates Palace is making preparations to host the much anticipated Middle East International Film Festival from October 14th – 19th 2007, in association with the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).  The festival will take place in the grounds of the resort within the elegant tent that was constructed for Ramadan.  The last day of the Ramadan tent will be October 7th, in order to cater for the festival.

“Emirates Palace is honoured to host the inaugural Middle East International Film Festival, where more than 50 regional and international films will be screened.  This is a superb opportunity for us to showcase the talent and potential of regional film makers and support the growth of this inspired event,” said Noel Massoud, General Manager of Emirates Palace.

Abu Dhabi plays an important role in developing and enhancing cultural events in the region.  In support of this effort Emirates Palace is dedicated to assisting and hosting events of prestige and local significance.  “As a superior venue with a great deal of experience playing host to important events, we are looking forward to the successful running of the film festival and would like to commend everyone that has contributed to the preparations,” ended Massoud.
