The sight of men in business suits sleeping on benches around Dubai is not something you see everyday. And yet that is exactly what you will find at select locations around the city as a part of Emirates’ new advertising campaign to promote the frequency of its services to the UK.

These sleepy executives are really life-size dummies which form part of the new campaign to highlight Emirates frequency and variety of its services to the UK. These executives are dummies because they did not choose Emirates to fly from Dubai to the UK.

Emirates operates an unprecedented 91 flights a week to the UK, including eight flights a day to London alone; five to London Heathrow and three to London Gatwick. The airline also serves Birmingham and Manchester with two flights a day and Glasgow with a daily flight.

Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline, said: “Emirates has been flying to the UK since 1987 and our services have consistently grown so that we now operate 13 daily flights to five different destinations in the country. We are extremely proud of this as it means we offer passenger the greatest choice and variety when they are making their travel plans.

“The reality is that while other airlines are operating on this route, none can even get close to offering the service, flexibility and convenience that Emirates offers its passengers. If an airline only serves the city a few times a week then passengers are seriously limited in their travelling options – and heaven forbid they miss a flight as they would have to wait days for the next one.”

The United Kingdom is Emirates’ biggest market and the airline carries millions of passengers from the UK to Dubai and on around its worldwide network to destinations in India, the Far East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

It is its strength as a global carrier with Dubai as its hub that enables the airline to carry passengers between far-flung cities with just one stop in Dubai, rather than passengers needing to change airlines and have long delays at the airport.

Emirates’ campaign to promote the frequency of its services to the UK also includes press, radio and online advertisements. The campaign leaves the public with little doubt as to the fact that Emirates operates significantly more flights to the UK from Dubai than any other airline using Dubai International Airport.
