emirates aviation college wins aviation business award
The Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies) has won the coveted Aviation Training Academy of the Year award at the inaugural Aviation Business Awards (ABA) in Dubai.
The prestigious event in Dubai, organised by ITP Business Publishing, featured 14 categories in total and the winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges from the regional aviation community.
Emirates Aviation College (A&AS) was named the year’s top aviation training academy based on certain criteria, including curriculum, faculty, services, facilities and achievements.
Vice-Chancellor Mohammed Al Budoor, who was presented with the award, said: “I am very pleased to receive this accolade on behalf of the Emirates Aviation College – Academic & Aerospace Studies.
“I would like to thank the panel of judges for recognising our commitment to providing the highest possible training programmes for the aviation industry within the region.  We strive to ensure that our students are afforded the best tutors and are equipped with state-of-the-art learning aids in order that they may achieve their academic and vocational goals.”
The Emirates Group won in three other categories: Emirates Airline received the award for Airline of the Year and Best Inflight Services.  Dnata Airport Operations won Best Ground Handling Provider of the Year.
The Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies) enjoys the advantage of being part of the Emirates Group whose companies provide graduates, if successful, with the potential of career growth and development in one of the most exciting industries in the world.

The college is the only institute in the UAE that provides degree-level, accredited programmes in Air Transport Management and Aeronautical Engineering, in addition to providing vocational programmes from the UK’s Edexcel BTEC, for students of all nationalities.

The facility is also the only institute in the UAE that provides internationally-recognised air traffic control courses, in addition to an MBA in Aviation Management programme, in partnership with Coventry University in the UK.
