Emirates has announced two new senior appointments today, within its Destination & Leisure Management Division; Frédéric Bardin as Senior Vice President - Emirates Holidays, and Peter Payet as Senior Vice President - Arabian Adventures. Both appointments are effective from 1 December 2010. Frédéric Bardin has become the new head of Emirates Holidays, taking over from John Felix as Senior Vice President of the business. He was previously Senior Vice President at Arabian Adventures, a position he held for seven years.

Frédéric has worked within the international and domestic travel and tourism sector for over 30 years, of which the past 20 years has been with Arabian Adventures. In addition to his extensive knowledge of Emirates' business, he brings with him a wealth of experience in tour operating, destination management, incentive travel programmes, marketing and information technology.

Frédéric replaces John Felix who has been instrumental in building and developing Emirates Holidays as one of the region's leading tour operators. Since it was established in 1992 the business has taken over a million people on holiday and has continued to see growth in its sales revenues to approximately AED4.5 billion.

Emirates has also appointed Peter Payet as the new Senior Vice President at Arabian Adventures. Peter has been with the brand since it was created in 1992, and is extremely well placed to manage the business and continue to develop and build on its reputation as the region's leading destination management company. Peter will also take on Frédéric's responsibilities as Senior Vice President of Congress Solutions International (CSI), Emirates' full service professional congress organiser.
