emc appoints new district manager for saudi arabia

Building EMC’s solutions and services portfolio is key priority within Kingdom

EMC Saudi Arabia announced today that Amer Barrage has been appointed as its new District Manager for Saudi Arabia. Barrage will be responsible for managing EMC’s expanding team in the Kingdom, and for developing new services and enhancing support for customers.

EMC has been serving customers in the Kingdom for more than a decade, and has operations in Riyadh as well as a thriving community of authorised resellers. Part of Barrage’s new role will be to enhance customer support and expand EMC’s market reach in Saudi Arabia.

“Saudi Arabia is one of the most vital markets in the Gulf region for EMC, and we already have a seasoned team of IT professionals in the country that work closely with our customers and resellers there. With the appointment of Amer Barrage as District Manager, we aim to increase the depth and breadth of the solutions and services that we offer, and to continue to grow our presence in the Kingdom,” said Mohammed Amin, General Manager, EMC Middle East & North Africa.

Barrage has 14 years of experience in sales and marketing in the IT sector, with expertise in the areas of risk management, enterprise content management, supply chain, network infrastructure, and system implementation. He previously provided IT solutions to a number of key industrial sectors, including close engagement with the financial services, manufacturing, and energy sectors in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE.  Barrage has worked with some of the leading hardware and networking vendors, and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance and Marketing) from Boston University.

EMC counts among its clients in Saudi Arabia the leading banks, telecoms operators, and energy providers. As part of his new role, Barrage will continue to drive awareness in the Kingdom about the benefits of EMC’s information lifecycle management (ILM) strategy, which enables businesses to derive maximum value from their information at every point from creation to disposal.
