ABAWABA - Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, made a surprise visit to Eagle Pass, one of the prominent entry points for irregular immigrants along the Texas-Mexico border. He shared his visit with Republican Congressman Tony Gonzales on the social media platform 'X.'
In a video released on his platform, Musk began by acknowledging his own immigrant background, hailing from South Africa, and voiced his support for an immigration system that welcomes diligent and honest contributors to the United States.
Musk stressed the importance of not allowing entry to those who violate the law and pointed out the irregular immigration crisis that has unfolded in New York. He warned, "If we fail to address irregular immigration, we may witness a breakdown in public services similar to what we've seen in New York."
Meanwhile, Congressman Gonzales highlighted the surge in immigrant arrivals at the Mexico border, attributing this to what he described as a "mistake" by the Biden administration. Gonzales commented, "Our government is on the verge of a shutdown, and it will happen. However, there might be an opportunity to reopen the government and implement some bipartisan border security measures.
