ALBAWABA -The Israel army has launched a new airstrike on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr hitting dozens of targets in the Gaza Strip.

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army has hit dozens of targets such as "military sites, launchers, tunnel shafts, and infrastructure."

In addition, the strikes targeted Jabalia and Gaza City’s Shujayea neighbourhood from where strikes towards Israel or Israeli troops were carried out, Israel claimed.

The army added that the airstrikes it launched on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr had hit several “terrorist cells” killing numerous Palestinian fighters.

The death toll in Gaza since Oct. 7 has jumped to at least 33,360, with over 75,993 injured in aggressive Israeli attacks on the strip, the health ministry in Gaza said in its latest report.

Many Palestinians in Gaza marked the beginning of Eid Al-Fitr inside the destroyed Rafah mosque, in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday.
