A Egyptian criminal court has sentenced Elham Mahmoud Ali, 37, and her son Ali Ahmed Mohammed, 15, to ten years in prison for killing the woman’s husband and throwing his body into the sewer system, according to the Arabic daily, Al Gomhuria.
The case goes back to November 1999, when the man’s badly hacked remains were found floating in the murky water.
Investigations revealed that the wife and son were behind the crime.
Police said the two waited until the man was sleeping, hacked him to death and threw his body into the sewers.
