The Egyptian-Sudanese Joint Higher Committee convenes Saturday in Khartoum to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral ties, as well as the latest developments in the Middle East, reported the Egyptian daily Al Ahram.
The committee will be co-chaired by Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebied and Sudanese Vice President Ali Taha.
The paper said Ebied would convey a message from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to his counterpart, Omar Al Bashir, dealing with bilateral ties, the Mideast crisis and the Egyptian-Libyan peace plan aimed at ending the civil war in southern Sudan.
Meanwhile, Ebied told the paper that the two sides would sign 16 cooperation agreements in the fields of economy, construction, youth and sports, education and media – Albawaba.com
