Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Monday was in Saudi Arabia to coordinate with the Saudis on efforts to reach a deal over the captured Israeli soldier in Gaza Strip.  King Abdullah and Mubarak "condemned the current Israeli escalation, and agreed that mediation should continue until a solution is found that would put an end to the escalation," an Egyptian source said following the talks between the two leaders.

He said "Mubarak updated the Saudi monarch on the results of Egypt's mediation aimed at preventing Israel from stepping up its aggression on Gaza."
