A Swiss business executive was found dead early Sunday in the northern Egyptian city of Alexandria after he apparently committed suicide over bad investments, police said.
The Swiss embassy in Cairo confirmed that a Swiss national had been found dead "over the weekend" in Alexandria, however declined to reveal his name or confirm the other details provided by police officials, according to AFP.
A police official said the man, a 50 year-old manager of an engineering company based in Alexandria, shot himself in the head with a hunting rifle at home.
A letter was found close to his body in which he stated he had decided to end his life because of a series of bad investments in stock markets abroad that caused severe financial trouble for his company, police added. (Albawaba.com)
