The head of prosecution for Cairo’s traffic police is looking for a few bad cops, according to the daily Al Gomhuria.
In an inspection campaign he launched on his first working day, Ahmed Al Bindari netted a traffic conscript as he was receiving the sum of 10 pounds – a little over $2 – as a bribe from a corrupt motorist.
Bindari issued a resolution to detain the policeman and informed Cairo Security Department and Minister of Interior Habib Al Adli, who gave instructions to closely watch conscripts and warn everybody against abusing their power – Albawaba.com
