Egypt announced that the local Internet connection speed had increased 4-fold to reach 45 megabytes/second.
The head of the Egyptian Internet Association, Mr. Hisham Sharif, told Al-Ahram newspaper that this improvement enables local companies and individuals to use Internet services easier and more efficiently. In addition, this will allow Egyptians to apply Internet services to various sectors such as medicine, education and e-commerce.
