Egyptian Minister of Justice Farouq Saif Al Nassr has announced that 15 million cases have been processed by the country's courts this year, according to the daily Al Ahram.
“Appying up-to-date software, the courts finalized the cases referred to them nationwide at maximum speed,” the minister said, adding that 73 court complexes had recently been constructed, including the Higher Constitutional Court and the judicial complex in Alexandria. The minister said that 13 new complexes were being constructed in Domyat and other cities.
“The reasons behind the accomplishment of this immense amount of work have been the new vision for limiting the number of cases, and the increase in the number of those working in the judiciary system, including the recent appointment of 500 assistant prosecutors. This is in addition to encouraging employees at the prosecution departments to apply for judge vacancies after training them at National Center for Judiciary Studies.” - Albawaba.com
