Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court ruled on Sunday that the law setting boundaries of Egypt's electoral constituencies is unconstitutional.

The petitioners against the constitutionality of the law - Law 202 of 2014 - argue that it violates Article 106 of the constitution, which stipulates equality among constituencies in terms of population density and number of voters.

The decision could lead to a delay of the parliamentary polls set to start on 21 March pending the law's revision by the cabinet.
