The electoral campaign for Egypt's house of representatives will start on September 29 and last for 18 days, said the spokesman of the Supreme Elections Committee on Wednesday.
The elections committee accepted 5420 candidates, who are going to compete over the 448 individual seats in the house of representatives.
Egypt will run its parliamentary elections on October 18 over two phases. The elections will end on November 23.
Egypt's last elected parliament was in June 2012, however it was discredited due to a high court order annulling the law its election was based on.
