The Egyptian State Information Service (ESIS) announced on November 23rd that the Egyptian government is building a special museum in the Sinai city of Al Arish to display archaeological pieces taken by Israel during their occupation of Sinai, the Middle East reported.
According to the weekly paper, Israel returned the material as part of an agreement signed by the two countries.
The ESIS release was quoted by the weekly as saying that "Dr. Gaballah Ali Gaballah, secretary-general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, asserted that Egypt has the right to restore any archaeological piece taken by Israel according to the agreement signed by both countries."
The 20,000 artifacts include the famous collection of Moshe Dayan, the late Israeli Minister of Defense -- Albawaba.com
