ALBAWABA - Egypt has placed a Russian-made Buk-M2E medium-range air defense system in the vicinity of Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea coast in the past few hours to secure key figures who will be attending the Gaza peace summit on Monday, Exclusive sources told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
The Egyptian Armed Forces' deployment of the Russian air defense system is part of intensive security preparations for hosting the international summit on Gaza, which is co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his US counterpart, Donald Trump, and that will be attended by the Jordanian King.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also invited by Trump and Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to attend the "peace summit" in Sharm el-Sheikh on October 13.
