At least two bombs exploded in Egypt Tuesday evening with one detonating near the Israeli embassy, according to Agence France Presse and Reuters.

A home-made bomb exploded Tuesday near the Israeli embassy in Cairo. The target of the bomb was allegedly a police car that was parked near the embassy, rather than the embassy itself said AFP's security sources. No injuries or deaths were reported.

Another bomb exploded Tuesday on a Cairo bridge, also without casualties and only causing minor damage to the bridge, according to other security officials.

Bomb attacks have been increasingly frequent throughout Egypt, particularly in Sinai, since the oust of former Islamist president Mohamed Morsi last July. Most attacks target security personnel, but in recent months, extremist groups, such as Ansar Beit Al Maqdis, have been targeting civilians, including tourists.
