Egypt's Al Qaeda influenced militant group Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis claimed responsibility for Monday's rocket attack on Israel's Eilat port, according to Reuters.
Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis (Supporters of Jerusalem), which is based in Egypt's Sinai peninsula, launched two rockets on Israel's Red Sea port late Monday night, and announced Tuesday that they "would continue to target the Jewish state" as well as Cairo's military government.
"Jews must understand that our war with the enemy inside will not make us forget the prime enemy of the (Muslim) nation, who occupies the land and defiles the sacred places. Jews will see things they do not like," Ansar said in a statement.
No casualties or damage was reported from Monday's attack.
