Egypt’s interim President Adly Mansour is due to arrive in Amman Tuesday for a visit during which he will meet with His Majesty King Abdullah and senior officials, an official source told The Jordan Times.

Talks will focus on bilateral ties and regional developments, the source said, without elaborating.

King Abdullah was the first Arab leader to visit Egypt after the June 30 movement that saw a popular uprising and military intervention that led to change in leadership.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour was in Cairo on Saturday in his capacity as defence minister to take part in Egypt’s celebrations marking the 1973 October war between Arabs and Israel.
