Egyptian Minister of Environmental Affairs Nadia Makram has announced that her ministry has prepared a huge project in collaboration with the Public Transport Corp. to gradually phase in a fleet of buses fueled first by natural gas, and later by hydrogen cells, the daily Al Messa reported.
The second step involving hydrogen technology will be implemented in 3-4 years, said the minister, adding that the country would manufacture transport buses that ran on the "green" energy source.
Hydrogen cells are expected to provide an environmentally friendly alternative to pollution-spewing engines that run on gasoline or diesel - Albawaba.com
