Targeting academics such as librarians, deans, heads of business and economics faculties, professors from banking and finance departments and researchers, the event will also introduce ‘BANKSCOPE’, BvD’s comprehensive, global database containing information on over 29,000 public and private banks. In addition, research experts will deliver thorough analysis of banks and their environs, including cross-border comparisons of banking sectors during the workshop, which will be held tomorrow (May 27, 2010) at the Hotel Sheraton in Amman, Jordan.
A discourse on ‘Competition in MENA Countries’ Banking Markets’ by Dr. Nedal El Fayoumi, Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Studies, Faculty of Business, The University of Jordan will be part of the event. The event will also feature a workshop titled ‘Information and Analysis for Research & Training’, which will highlight ‘BANKSCOPE’ as a flexible information solution for researching banks worldwide that combines data from seven sources and software for searching and analysis.
