DynaPel Systems, Inc., a leading state of art developer of digital video analytics appliances, smart cameras and networked digital video recorders in Europe, today announced its plans to target the fast-growing Middle East security sector and expanding its dealership network in the region and North Africa. DynaPel has also announced its participation in the upcoming Intersec Exhibition, the largest Security Exhibition in the Middle East, where it will perform a live demo of its highly advanced security products.
With the demand for security rising on a global basis, video surveillance cameras and other security systems are growing more critical. According to a recent report from iSuppi Corp. “The global video surveillance camera revenue is forecast to grow to more than AED 33 billion (US$9 billion) by 2011 up from AED 18 billion (US$4.9 billion) in 2006. Meanwhile, video surveillance unit shipments will more than double to 65.7 million units in 2011 rising from 29.8 million in 2006.
The Middle East region has also witnessed an increasing demand of surveillance and security systems in recent years due to the development of major economics and the growing importance of domestic security. “In the GCC and UAE particularly, the boom in construction has led to an increase in the demand of CCTV and security systems,” said Paul Fevang, DynaPel’s CEO, “Every week there is a new governmental building, office tower, or residential complex being launched in the region, however, there is a lack of highly automated with the capability to get close-up id-shots systems being offered by integrators in the market.
“With this current boom in the installation of surveillance cameras combined with the shortage of video guards to operate systems, the need for automated surveillance systems is increasing,” Fevang added. “By participating in Intersec Exhibition, we are aiming to establish a network of certified dealers to offer our state-of-art surveillance and security systems throughout this high potential market.”
DynaPel, which is a US registered company, traded at the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker “DYNA”, has more than 235 dealers in the US alone. It also enjoys a large presence in the UK and has conducted more than 30 systems pilots in the Middle East region. The company offers intelligent, automated video solutions which increase significantly the effectiveness of video surveillance operations for commercial and government organizations. The company’s technology is based on in-house developed and patented sophisticated video analytics algorithms.
“How often have you seen a perpetrator on a security video surveillance system, and not been able to identify the person in the picture?” explained Fevang. “DynaPel offers a system where a PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera automatically focuses on, and tracks, multiple moving objects within the area you program it to watch. You can train the system to automatically track people, vehicles or other moving objects of interest.”
DynaPel also provides a series of camera solutions and the Tempest networked DVR series, along with exciting and innovative products like SteadyEye, a real time stabilizer, and the new EyeMax camera that auto tracks objects in a 360 degrees field of view. All the company solutions are fully automatic and can be used to be enhanced as well as manned surveillance systems with no need of heavy operational staff to operate it, and at the same time, they reduce manpower, increase efficiency and give a better security and identifying tool.
