DWTC signs up to rics service charge standards
Organisations to work together on programme to train Emirati surveyors

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), leading real estate developer and venue operator, announced its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism within the construction development industry by aligning its operations with Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and standardizing its managing services across all DWTC property developments.

Additionally, DWTC and RICS will also partner to set up a programme for the development of top-class Emirati surveyors and to spread awareness of the benefits of RICS membership and the importance of adhering to the highest quality standards in the fast-growing construction and property development industry in the region.

“With the developments of our landmark projects, Dubai Trade Centre District and Dubai Exhibition City, signing up to RICS service standards will ensure that we keep our commitment to maintaining best practices across our service offerings and guarantee that ethical and professional standards are set and maintained,” said DWTC Director General Helal Saeed Almarri. “Also, with the unparalleled expertise that RICS has to offer in the property and construction development industry on hand, we are also ideally positioned to develop promising Emirati talent within our ranks and in the wider region,” he added.

RICS Service Charge Codes provides property development clients with a clear set of recommendations which will help landlords, tenants, owners and occupiers in order to maximize their working environment.

“Through the adoption of the Service Charge Code, Dubai World Trade Centre is clearly demonstrating its level of transparency and commitment to best practice to both the general public and DWTC’s tenants” commented Alan England, Regional Director of the RICS. He then added:  “What is particularly encouraging, to both the region and the profession, is DWTC’s strong desire to promote the Institution and its benefits to local Emiratis, this is something that we are very keen to assist with”
