Aluminium giant implements customised leadership training programme to help guide the company towards its corporate vision.
Aiming to equip its senior leadership team with a “tool kit” of skills and the knowledge required to nurture and guide the organisation towards achieving the company’s corporate vision, Dubai Aluminium Company Limited (“DUBAL”) has developed and begun implementing a customised training initiative for its senior managers.
The initiative — entitled the Senior Leadership Masterclass — has been designed to meet the future requirements of DUBAL leaders. It was developed at the request of the DUBAL Board of Directors, under the leadership and guidance of H H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance & Industry and Chairman of DUBAL). A group of 28 senior managers attended the first, three-day module of the Senior Leadership Masterclass programme from 27 to 30 October this year.
Speaking at the official opening of the programme, DUBAL CEO Abdulla Kalban, said, “DUBAL has an exciting future, both within its smelter complex headquartered in Jebel Ali and through its new joint ventures with Mubadala Development Company in Abu Dhabi and further a field. It is therefore vital that we develop a bench-strength of skilled and knowledgeable senior managers to help us take the company forward to the next level, by supporting and leading their respective teams appropriately. The Senior Leadership Masterclass is intended to fill this need.”
Ashridge Business School, has worked with DUBAL to develop the course content and facilitate the training.
