In accordance with the message of wildlife conservation, the Dubai Zoo will release into the wilderness a number of animals, birds and reptiles on Sunday in the Al Ghaff forest near Mushrif Park, the Khaleej Times reported.
Ahmed Abdul Karim, Director of the Public Parks and Horticulture Department at the Dubai Municipality, was quoted by the Dubai-based paper as saying that "we are keen to preserve the wildlife of the emirate.”
“This is the third such initiative of the zoo,” said Abdul Karim.
“The birds, animals, and reptiles will undergo a veterinary check up before the release so as to ensure that they are free from any disease," Abdul Karim added.
He added that the creatures are being released in line with the local rules and legislation in this regard – Albawaba.com
