The Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) has set up two tents, called Fawanees, to receive its visitors with warm hospitality during the month of Ramadan, offering them a wide range of traditional dishes and entertainment from sunset to sunrise.

The tent, which opened on Nov. 16, will soon be complemented by the Fawanees Ramadan Global Village exhibition, according to a DWTC statement.

The organizers said in the statement that this year, the DWTC's Fawanees tent will feature live evening entertainment and will be able to accommodate up to 500 individuals.

About 420 companies from more than 20 countries will exhibit in the international event which will kick off on Nov. 22 and close on Dec. 13.

The exhibition will feature participants from Australia, China, Egypt, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Singapore, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Yemen.

They will showcase an array of products, including antiques, clothes, carpets, electronic items, handicrafts, perfumes and furniture.

“Ramadan is a wonderful time to promote a sense of family and community,” the organizers said, adding that the Fawanees tent would bring together a variety of unique cultural elements to focus on family values and promote relaxation, friendship and understanding – Albawaba.com
