Dubai Quality Group reinforces importance of quality standards through its participation in 8th Careers UAE exhibition
Continuing its focused efforts on helping organisations boost business excellence, Dubai Quality Group (DQG), an organisation dedicated to raising the general performance level of the local business environment, is participating at the 8th Careers UAE 2008 exhibition, which opens today (Tuesday, April 15, 2008) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Through its participation in the three-day event, DQG will highlight the importance of striving for quality, not only for organisations but also for individuals who wish to be more effective leaders.
The Careers UAE Exhibition provides an opportunity for UAE National visitors and jobseekers to obtain information on opportunities within organisations and general company information; market information; training; and education opportunities available in the market. The event is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, in conjunction with TANMIA, the UAE Ministry of Labour, Emirates Nationals Development Program, Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University, and UAE University.
“We have boosted our participation this year, as we aim to educate more nationals, including graduates and jobseekers, organisations and other exhibitors about the need to implement quality standards and the importance of satisfying customer demands with an overriding emphasis on quality. Through our participation in Careers UAE, we will be able to facilitate interaction between graduates and jobseekers with member organisations that will result in exchange of ideas and knowledge, with a specific focus on quality,” said Marwan Al Sawaleh, Chairman of DQG.
“Employers nowadays are looking to hire nationals who show an aptitude for adopting quality standards in their work, which is why our campaign focuses on both jobseekers and business owners, so as to instill the quality concept in the UAE’s business culture.”
DQG is a leading organisation committed to boosting business excellence and competitiveness through high quality standards, and operates in line with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to develop Dubai as a centre of excellence. The Group is focused on ensuring that the quality and service standards of its member organisations are comparable, if not better, than quality standards around the world.
“During the event, UAE nationals will have the opportunity to visit the DQG stand Z – C3, located in Zabeel Hall, and network with our representatives and have a thorough understanding of our operations, and also to know how organisations can become members of DQG and to be aware of the benefits enjoyed by DQG members,” added Al Sawaleh.
Throughout the last twelve months, DQG has organised a number of initiatives, including evening seminars; conferences; signed seven MoUs with local and international companies; organised a benchmarking trip to the United Kingdom; and organised the Emirates Business Women Award and the Emirates Energy Award.
