Dubai Police starts to use new equipment for finger print screening.
Lieutenant Colonel Jassim Rabia Al Awadhi, Director of Crime Scene Division at the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence, claimed that the device would carry out the screening instantly as soon as a person would place two of his fingers at a specified point, according to Khaleej Times.
If a record for the person existed, all information would be retrieved immediately. This practically means that the individuals would not need to give the finger prints once again, who have applied for character certificate or similar documents in the past, for example, said Al Awadhi.
The official added the equipment would now be used on an experimental basis.
