The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has announced a special three-day Eid getaway package targeting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) traveler.
“This package has been specifically designed to target the GCC states which rank among our primary tourism origin markets,” said DTCM director general Khalid bin Sulayem said in a statement.
“This will be the ideal getaway for consumers searching for a spontaneous weekend break during the Eid holidays and we have stretched the promotion from December 13 to December 28 to facilitate more travelers to avail of the cost-saving package,” said bin Sulayem.
The promotion, according to the statement, has been formulated by White Sands Tours and Travels and has seven five-star hotels, two four-star hotels, three three-star hotels, three deluxe hotel apartments and one standard hotel apartment participating.
The package will be made available to both nationals and expatriates of GCC states who pre-confirm their bookings through their travel agents.
Commenting on the teamwork involved in the creation of this package, bin Sulayem said, “the Eid getaway package is an ideal example of the strategic partnership between the public and private sector in Dubai.”
“We work hand in hand with the private sector and thereby create a broader-based partnership for development of the tourism business,” bin Sulayem said.
Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, DTCM director for operations and marketing, said in the statement that they had produced an advertising campaign to cover the print media that would begin from December 2 and will run in 15 leading Arabic and English-language publications across the GCC with 39 insertions until the 20th of the month.
Bin Hareb further explained that a broadcast advertising campaign would also run along side on leading regional TV stations including LBC and MBC targeting a prime time audience over an eleven-day period starting from December 2 – Albawaba.com
