The Food Control Section of the Dubai Municipality held recently a meeting with representatives of the European Union (EU) at the civic body headquarters.
The EU delegation included representatives of the consulates of the following countries: Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany and Greece.
They reviewed procedures, rules and regulations regarding food control applied by the Food Control Section in Dubai, according to Khaleej Times.
For his part, Khalid Mohammed Shareef, Assistant Director of Public Health Department and Head of Food Control Section, briefed the delegation on measures taken by the section with regards to safe import of foodstuff to the city as well as accompanying procedures.
In addition, Khalid told them about the legal specifications on foodstuff labels, safety rules and permit procedures. (Albawaba.com)
