On Saturday, 17th April, 2010 from 10am – 1pm, Dubai Ladies Club, a member of Dubai Women Establishment, has organised an enriching Art-of-Living seminar on the essential keys for balancing motherhood. This event has been organised in collaboration with The Art of Living and The Children’s Garden pre-school.
Eman Al Mansoori, Events Manager at Dubai Ladies Club explains, “A happy mother is the reflection of a peaceful & balanced state of mind. Our aim in organizing such an activity was to directly take our core message of providing essential health and wellbeing tools to mothers and women on the go. Through this interactive workshop, participants will develop insight on how to reduce negative emotions - anger, regret, sadness, anxiety and fear - that eat up our energy and time putting an unnecessary burden on our efforts.”
Each one of us has experienced the effect of a stressful situation and anxious state on the mind and body whether through childbirth, raising a family or the struggle to balance home and work life. This seminar includes an introduction to gentle yoga to nourish your body, mind and spirit. It includes relaxation techniques to calm the mind and bring about a holistic internal balance. You will also be guided into special breathing rhythms to release stress, energize the system and let go of unwanted worries and strains. Practiced in a light and easy manner, the effects are powerful and instantly perceptible leading to an even more radiant you for yourself and your family.
Fun for Kids Too
The Children’s Garden pre-school will be providing expert Early Childhood educators and a variety of exciting activities to occupy your children, leaving you free to concentrate on what it is that makes you so fabulous and what you want from your futures.
The agenda for the day will also include a Swarovski jewellery making class for mothers as well as Mother & Child painting session. Guests will also be automatically entered into a raffle draw comprising of spectacular prizes including Daily Beach Passes, gift vouchers and much more. Finally, Choco Dou will present delicious chocolate boxes for ladies and children to take home. This event is free for Dubai Ladies Club members and non-members and is open to ladies and children only.
Since its inception in 2003, Dubai Ladies Club has consistently worked towards improving the quality of life of Emirati and expatriate women living in the UAE through in-house events, facilities and pilot projects. The events span the fields of art, culture, fitness and educational seminars. The primary objective of this event is to provide all women in Dubai with the opportunity to try new activities and wellbeing workshops entirely cost free, with the view to encourage participation and healthy living on a long term basis.
