The Dubai Internet City (DIC) has almost finished a draft on cyber law which is likely to be issued by mid-year, an official was quoted as saying by the Gulf News.
Applicable to all Net-based transactions, the draft law is likely to be implemented in Dubai before becoming a federal law, he said.
He added that the law is a combination of the German and Malaysian models.
"The draft law addresses a comprehensive range, including digital signatures and verification, non-repudiation issues, and confidentiality of Internet transactions," he said.
Work on the draft has been underway for over six months, the paper said – Albawaba.com
