Dubai Festival City, the world-class waterfront lifestyle resort and one of the UAE’s most exciting retail, dining and leisure destinations, took the sports entertainment world by storm with the exclusive launch of the Championship Gaming Series, the first worldwide professional, larger-than-life gaming league. A first for interactive gaming, the Series will run from 18-21 July 2007 in the South Court of the Festival Waterfront Centre.
As part of Dubai Summer Surprises fun and games at Dubai Festival City, the Championship Gaming Series takes professional gaming to the next level, offering pro gamers a chance to battle it out while being televised live to millions across the Emirates. Players will compete on a custom built stage in a live arena, immersing the best PC and Xbox 360 gamers as well as fans inside the games themselves.
It’s fun for all at Dubai Festival City once again! All are welcome to participate for free throughout the four day competition period. And if you’re lucky, you may be selected to join an official Championship Gaming Series team and go head to head with other gamers around the world!
