Dubai developers and homeowners have finally reached agreement on at least one point: a high-quality kitchen is no longer a luxury, it’s an absolute necessity.
Accordingly, both developers of new properties and existing homeowners are in demand of modularly-installed, high-end kitchens that will bring immediate and lasting value to the prices of their homes.
“The old adage about smart investors putting money into kitchens and bathrooms is more true today in Dubai than it ever has been, and we are hearing from both developers and individual home owners,” says Ajai Kumar Dayal, General Manager, Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg – owners of Better Life, retailers of German luxury kitchen brand, SieMatic.

High-end home appliance retailer – Better Life – has partnered with German designers SieMatic to open a new, sprawling kitchen concept store in Dubai, which it believes will ideally cater for the city’s demand for ultra-modern, intelligent kitchen areas in luxury homes. Dayal says that the store has already hosted several developer-specific tours of the various kitchens.
“A number of prestigious residential developments in Dubai, have already differentiated themselves based on the superior build quality to which they have committed. And when you go into their villa kitchens, you find SieMatic kitchens. That is the surest sign that a homeowner is buying a quality property, one which will retain its value in the long run,” concludes Dayal.
Through the partnership with Better Life, SieMatic kitchens are also available in its Mall of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi stores, while Better Life’s brands of appliances are on display in a built-in gallery, at the new SieMatic kitchen concept showroom located on Umm Hurair Road, near the Maktoum Bridge.
The SieMatic kitchen centre is not only the first of its kind in the UAE, but also represents a number of firsts as Better Life will be introducing new premium brands to complement the kitchens. In conjunction with the opening of the new store, the retailer will introduce products from German high design brand Gaggenau and French appliance specialists La Cornue.
The store will also include a dedicated gallery of built-in appliances from a number of Better Life’s existing luxury brands, namely Siemens, Electrolux and Fisher & Paykel. In addition there will be a dedicated display of the retailer’s stylish cookware and accessories.
The location will serve as a one-stop-shop for the members of the architecture and design community, whether they are involved in planning a single or multi-use residential property. In-house designers and sales consultants will be on-hand to provide advice on tailor-made solutions.
