Dubai Customs the first governmental department receives ISO 10002
Certificate handles Dubai Customs clients complaints in accordance with the utmost professionalism standards
Dubai Customs has achieved today, an unprecedented achievement; obtaining the ISO 10002:2004 for handling customer complaints, in the context of its efforts to promote sustained economic and social development in Dubai and to be one of the leading customs administrations in the world leading trade-supporting legitimate trade.
Dubai Customs is the first government organization to receive this certificate, which stresses on the recognition of the right of Dubai Customs clients complaint, and pledge to deal with the complaints in accordance with the utmost professionalism, not only in the UAE, but also in the MENA region, according to Lloyd’s Register, the global leading certification organization.
This remarkable achievement comes in line with the strategic plan of Dubai Customs 2007-2011, consisting with the strategy of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which refers to "adopt and share best practices with regard to the procedures and systems of work".
Mr. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Director General of Dubai Customs, received the certificate from Basem Obaid, Area Manager, ME & Africa, Lloyd's Register Quality, in the presence of a number of Dubai Customs’ Executive Directors, in addition to the work team, who has been working on the project only since 27 December 2007.
On this occasion, Mr. Ahmed Butti, congratulated all Dubai Customs employees for this remarkable achievement, which has been accomplished as a result of their continuous perseverance and efforts. He also gave his thanks to Dubai Customs team who worked on the ISO project, for the tireless efforts they made to achieve all the requirements needed, drawing on the self expertise and efforts.
