Dubai Courts begins receiving applications for ‘Achieve Excellence and Move On’ program

The skills and career development program is in line with the objectives of Dubai Courts’ Strategic Plan 2009-2011

The human resources department at Dubai Courts has commenced receiving applications from outstanding UAE national students from colleges and universities in the country who wish to enrol themselves for the ‘Achieve Excellence and Move On’ program, which aims to develop creativity and key skills among young high-calibre national students. Through this program, Dubai Courts is providing students with the required support to hone their skills that will enhance their job opportunities in various disciplines.

This initiative comes in line with Dubai Courts’ efforts to achieve the objectives of its Strategic Plan 2009-2011; which among others, includes attracting, investing and developing highly qualified human resources by promoting work ethics and team work strategies. Through this program, Dubai Courts also aims to highlight its emphasis on promoting a work environment that encourages creativity and innovation, while supporting the emiratisation process by developing national human resources. This initiative also reflects the commitment of Dubai Courts to achieve justice through promoting cultural and social aspects, in addition to judicial aspects.

Dr. Ahmed Bin Hazeem, Director General of Dubai Courts, said: “This program reflects our commitment to attracting and qualifying nationals who can help us enhance client confidence in the judicial systems and improve our internal operations. We have expanded the program to include outstanding students majoring in law and other related disciplines such as human resources and strategic planning which play significant roles in the development of the judicial system. We reiterate our full support for the development

of nationals who will uplift our institutional performance to meet the highest standards of quality and excellence. This aligns with our aspiration to leadership in the judicial field.”

“We are confident that this program and similar initiatives such as the Dubai Courts Excellence Award will foster competitiveness and provide a work environment that encourages creativity and innovation. Its ability to facilitate the participation of individuals who can help enliven service development will lead to substantial gains in the performance of courts and their regulatory divisions,” he added.

The program has begun accepting students from other disciplines, including a female student from Zayed University’s Faculty of Accounting. Among the fields that have been added to the initiative’s scope are accounting, law, information technology, human resources, and strategic planning. Under the program, Dubai Courts will train and prepare exceptional students and formally appoint them to administrative and regulatory divisions after they complete their studies, subject to the human resources laws introduced by the Dubai Government in 2006.

Ever since its formation, Dubai Courts has focused on launching various initiatives that aim to develop the judicial system. Furthermore, Dubai Courts has adopted a strategy of using latest technologies and recruiting highly qualified legal specialists, in addition to adopting the highest standards while implementing various legal procedures in accordance with the goals of Dubai Strategic Plan 2015.
