The DRAGAN ARCHITECTURE Agency will take part in the Hotel Show Dubai from next May 18th to 20th. On that occasion it will be showcasing its twofold experience, in town-planning design and architecture, as well as in interior design. Indeed, the agency is well versed in completing hotel, office building, trade centre and collective housing projects, starting with the town-planning study all the way to the interior design itself, from early sketching to execution drawings. Few agencies possess such comprehensive expertise, since it is rare for the town planner, architect and interior designer to be a single person or a single firm. The Agency has also been working for about ten years for Middle-Eastern customers, and so it is very familiar with this market and its characteristics.

In that way it has achieved a host of high-luxury villas, and has just completed an upscale hotel in Riyadh. For that latest project, it has designed the lobbies, the restaurants and the floor atriums, all in curves and counter-curves. The theme for the central core atrium is the sun, while the lateral atriums represent the four elements. The decoration is a sober blend of classical decor featuring touches of Art Deco. The dining room (600 seats) was configured according to the principles of urban composition: it is structured around a major traffic route ending in an elliptical “square”. Beyond this, the Agency is scheduled to complete an international conference centre in Jeddah in late 2010.

Radu Dragan, who has been practising his craft for over 15 years, founded his agency in 2007. The turnover is of €1.4 million before tax. The Agency is currently working on a 50,000 sq. m. trade centre project in Central Europe, and another 56,000 sq. m. project is in the works. Both projects will include office towers, hotels, apart-hotels and upscale housing.
